I was out and about this week and noticed sooo many guys wearing light blue button downs in the most thoughtless and boring ways. I realize blue shirt is most guys’ holy grail and safe space, but I think it’s time we get a bit more creative with how we wear the notorious closet staple.
Here are a few ways to style a blue shirt that will have you feeling fresh and fun.
The blue shirt we will be styling today: Proper Cloth
I have been loving the look of stripes on stripes lately. Does it look like PJ’s? Yes, certainly. But is it cool? Absolutely. The ones above are Sporty & Rich, but these Alex Mill ones are just as great. As are these from Tekla.
I don’t always love distressed denim but I think it works well for spring. I also really like pairing black accessories with light blue - the stark contrast is just interesting to look at. The jeans in this look are Levi’s. But these from Our Legacy are also worth checking out.
This feels a bit basic but it never fails. Wear the shirt open or half buttoned. Half tuck it or leave it untucked. Roll up the sleeves or don’t. The possibilities are kind of endless.
Denim shorts are so great for spring and not enough men appreciate them. I love the look of yellow accents with blue - the complementary colors go so nicely together. Shorts above are Agolde. Also like these from COS.
Leopard print (or your more preferred animal print) is a super easy way to bring some fun into an otherwise basic outfit.
As always, thank you so much for being here and supporting me in this way xo
