There is such a missed opportunity with fashion in golf. For being one of the classiest sports, it deserves more respect when it comes to spectator style. I think, it’s time to retire the tech polos and ABC pants, and up your game, guys. It’s not like you’re playing a round… you’re having a Crows Nest and eating a pimento sandwich - may as well be chic doing it.
Here are a few outfit ideas for The Master’s if you’re one of the lucky ones that gets to attend.
Look 1 - Inspo: 50’s Golfer
I am obsessed with a double breasted cardigan right now and this one from Bogey Boys is perfect. Layer it over a polo for an elevated but relaxed look. A high waisted pleated trouser would be so chic. All tied together with your favorite pair of (broken in) loafers.
Look 2 - Inspo: Ivy
Nothing says class like a cable knit cricket sweater over a button down. If you think you’ll get hot, opt for a short sleeve. Pair it with a wide leg trousers and add some fun but elegant colored accessories - you’ll be golden.
Look 3 - Inspo: Nautical/Fisherman Core
A plaid pant with a knit polo is such a vibe. Throw on a sophisticated blouson jacket and a boat shoe - so fun.
I know if you’re reading this you probably already know Malbon, Bogey Boys and Eastside Golf, but here are a few more brands you should know if you’re looking to elevate you’re golf style.
Trill Golf - Trill Golf is more than just a golf brand, it’s a community. Their goal is to shed the elitism that surrounds the sport and make golf feel more inclusive and approachable. One Thing I Would Buy: Polo
Gumtree Golf & Nature Club - Taking its inspiration from the beautiful landscape that the sport of golf can provide, Gumtree Golf & Nature Club has a more quiet, homely take on golf apparel. If Nara Smith was a golf brand - it would be this. One Thing I Would Buy: Vest
Whim - Whim Golf sticks to traditional golf attire, but does it REALLY well. Each one of their pieces is hand made with 100% Merino wool in the USA. Merino wool offers far superior technical qualities when compared to synthetic fibers by inhertentially being thermoregulating and anti bacterial. One Thing I Would Buy: Long Sleeve Polo
As always, thank you for being here and supporting me intros way xo
