A truly chaotic post with zero cohesiveness. But this is what’s on my mind lately.
Sustainable Brands For Your Spring/Summer Wardrobe
I mean its no secret, to be cool is to be sustainable. Here are a list of my favorite sustainable brands that have great spring/summer clothing.
E.L.V denim - Denim is very hard to make sustainable due to the massive amount of water it takes to grow the cotton. The only way to be 100% sustainable when making jeans is to rework them, and E.L.V has figured out how to do it in the coolest way.
Kartik Research - This brand has gained so much visibility recently due to celebrities like Lewis Hamilton and Kendrick Lamar wearing it on their respective stages. You can really see the influence of India’s rich culture in the brands unique pieces.
Harago - This brand feels like the personification of summer - but in brand form. Everything they make is light and breezy and fun. If you’re looking for unique clothes for vacation, look on further than Harago. Its kind of giving Bode without Bode prices.
BaeMa.T.Boa - If Bode and Jacquemus had a baby, it would be BaeMa.T.Boa. Everything they make is 1 of 1. They drop their clothing in drops, so you will have to follow them on social media to get your hands on their quick to sell out pieces.
Story MFG - This brand feels whimsical and cool at the same time. My commentary probably wouldn’t do it justice, just go check it out - trust me.

If I’ve learned anything from his page its: green is the new red. A pop of green is going to be seasons best style hack, boys.
I am obsessed with the styling he did here. I LOVE the vintage cable knit over the lace shirt tucked into a high waisted wool pant. I appreciate the sweater sleeves cuffed just slightly to show a peak of lace at the wrist. Also, how he styled the belt to loop onto itself instead of through the belt loop. Tres chic.
Making The Backwards Hat Cool Again

All the sporting events currently simultaneously occurring has me reminiscing about how cool I use to think the athletes from the 90s and early 2000s were. Specifically, Ken Griffey Jr and Andy Roddick. They reminded me of the backward hat trend and I can’t stop thinking about it.
I mean the art is so lost I can’t even find a decently aesthetic Pintrest picture to use as an example - only Chandler Bing (RIP). Therefore, it must be time to bring it back.
I guess the discourse around the backwards hat is that it gives off “childish” and “immature”. Well, sweatpants give off “lazy” and “sloppy” but men and women are wearing them out to bars still.
I mean, you don’t have to wear a backwards hat everyday with every outfit. But give it try one day when you’re out day drinking - I think it’s cool.
!! Trend Alert !!
Personally, not so thrilled about this one but apparently checkered Vans are trying to make their way back into our lives? I won’t be encouraging you to wear them, but I have made it my job to report on trends so here you go.
Very Justin Bieber circa 2018. Who, by the way, I think we are going to be seeing a lot of in 2024.
Before you rush to go buy these, consider if they even fit your current aesthetic or personality. If they don’t, no need to hop on this trend. I know you have enough jurisdiction over your own brain cells to know that every trend might not be for you.
But if these are your vibe, here are three ways to make it feel more... 2024.
First, you could always go for a different color. I really like this sea foam situation. I think its a great color for spring/summer and it’s a little softer on the eyes.
Second, wear socks with them, PLEASE. I don’t care what color socks, but lets just avoid the exposed ankle.
And lastly, pair them with a trouser, a carpenter pant, or a light wash straight leg jean. Basically, anything with a relaxed fit.
As always, thank you for being here xo.
