Spring Trends
Micro trends are dead I KNOW, no need to scream at me. But sometimes it’s funnnn to dabble in trends and see what does and doesn’t work with your wardrobe and personal style. So, I am going to continue to report on them - do with this what you please.
A few spring trends I am currently loving:
Yellow Tinted Sunglasses - Honestly, they took a minute to grow on me, but now that they have - I am fully obsessed. I just think they give this really cool, vintage inspired edge to a look and what’s not to love about that? Some yellow tinted sunglasses: Gentle Monster, Moscot, Crap Eyewear.
Zipper Shirts - I don’t know who started this but everyone from Prada to COS to Marni to A Kind of Guise are making these zipper shirts and I actually love them. I just think they are a interesting little twist on such a classic sartorial stape.
Cow Print - First there was snake skin, then there was leopard print, and now cow print seems to be having a moment. Especially with belts, bags and shoes.
Jelly Sandals - I saw this picture back in like 2022 and thinking to myself then “wouldn’t it be crazy if jelly sandals came back into the zeitgeist”. Well three years later - I guess they have? I know what you’re thinking - childish, silly. Well, yes. BUT ALSO, a really great way to inject nostalgia, unserious-ness and most of all FUN into what could be an otherwise basic and stuffy look. I love these from Garden Heir.
Fisherman Vests - The “it” men in fashion all seem to be styling fisherman vests. Personally, I think it’s sick. Especially when styled with something totally unexpected like a collared shirt, pleated pants and suede loafers. I like this one from Todd Snyder, this one from Lemarie, and this one from Engineered Garments.
Where To Buy Short Sleeve Shirts
I guess I could’ve done a full edit on this but I got lazy, sorry. Here are three of my favorite places to buy short sleeves shirts right now:
Everyday Garments - If you’re looking for something totally unique you must go check out Everyday Garments. This British brand takes inspiration from the founders steel town, blue collar roots and makes these really great utilitarian, workwear no nonsense shirts. I love the rugged yet undeniably stylish charm they have and the quality guys… is insane. It is so clear how much care is given to the construction of each piece. The one piece I would buy: Terry Overshirt
Portuguese Flannel - Portuguese Flannel is a brand I alwaysss keep front of mind when it comes to shirts for spring/summer. Whether you’re looking for work shirts or vacation shirts, they do it all and they do it with such high quality. All of the shirts that my husband owns from PF have a very luxurious feel to them and are surprisingly durable for how light they are. The one piece I would buy: Cross Stitch
TOAST - Toast has been more of a recent discovery for me but it was one of those things where I saw it, became so intrigued and ordered everything immediately. And let me tell you - I am thoroughly impressed. The designs and colors are great of course, very spring/summer coded but what I love most is the relaxed fit of the shirts, they drape so softly on the upper body for a very nonchalant, comfortable silhouette. The one piece I would buy: Kite Stripped Cotton Shirt
Outfit Inspo For Miami GP
It’s race week in Miamiiiiiiiii. If you’re going to the race, I envy you. Here are some outfit ideas based on your favorite team and my unsolicited thoughts on what your fandom says about you.
McLarn - You’re perfect and I love you.

Ferrari - You are self destructive by nature. You should be on an SSRI but that would ruin your aesthetic. You love a struggle, a challenge and disappointment - because character development, duh. Oh, and you use summer as a verb.

Mercedes - Your whole personality is hating Max Verstappen.

Red Bull - You never engage in conversation with your uber driver and you’re probably mean to waiters. You’re ruthless and overly competitive - even about mundane, trivial things.

Williams - You’re just happy to have a seat at the table…

As always, thank you for being here and supporting me in this way xo
