Spring lines are starting to drop so that means we can talk about my favorite topic - PANTS. Now, all capsules I have been looking forward to aren’t out yet - so you’ll have to bookmark my ShopMy. I’ll be updating my recs regularly.
As I’ve mentioned a few posts ago, trends really aren’t trending the way they were the last few years. We are really pushing to revive personal style this year. So basically, wear what makes you comfortable and feels functional. There really is no “this is in” “this is out” right now. It’s kind of a free for all.
ALLS THAT TO SAY, this is the pant rotation I propose for this spring:
dark wash denim
a cropped chino
a pleated pant
a cotton/linen blend flowy trouser
a colorful corduroy pant
Dark Wash Denim
I am newly obsessed with dark denim. I just find it so much more elevated than a light wash. I know, spring/summer typically means lighter and brighter colors, but it’s all in how you style it. Dark wash can still be whimsical, trust me.
A Cropped Chino
Shoes seem to be getting thinner and flatter lately and I just think they look so much better when worn with a cropped pant that kind of just floats on top of the collar of the shoe.
A Pleated Pant
A pleated trouser is an essential for any season, I don’t feel like I need to explain further.
A Cotton/Linen Blend Pant
You need something easy to slip on quickly when making your hungover bagel run. Anything that kind of resembles a pajama but you’ll dress it up to be more chic. A solid color is great but if you really want to embrace the nuances of spring, go for something with stripes. Nothing says spring quiet like stripes.
A Colored Corduroy Pant
This is so extra but I love it. Spring dressing is all about having fun and there is nothing more fun than a colored pant. I know, corduroy is typically associated with fall, but I think it works for spring too. Especially during this time when the weather is in its transitional period.
As always, thank you guys for being here and supporting me in this way xo
