There are obviously wayyy more than 4 types to jackets one can have in their spring jacket rotation, but this is my current recommended line up.
A quilted jacket
A printed jacket
A utility jacket
A hiking shell jacket
Below are my recommendations for each category and how to style them.
Quilted Jacket
A quilted jacket is elevated and chic. It definitely gives... I have a house on the English countryside.
Wear it a bit over sized in a muted color with trousers and a loafer and it will look sleek and contemporary.
Printed Jacket
Nothing says “I am ready for spring” like a colorful floral or paisley printed jacket.
Wear it over a white tee or button down (something simple) with chinos or jeans - let the jacket be the star of the show.
Utility Jacket
Utility jackets, chore jackets, work ware jackets… its all the same and all perfect for spring. I personally think an unlined utility jacket is the way to go for spring, but that’s because I live in Texas and the weather leans warm. They feel more elevated than a plain jacket but still simple enough to go with any outfit you put on this spring.
You can wear a utility jacket with literally anything but specifically, I think they look best with jeans.
Hiking Shell Jacket
Gorpecore continues to trend into 2024 and I think some technical outer ware should defiantly be somewhere in your spring jacket rotation. I mean just from a practical perspective, this actually makes a lot of sense consider how unpredictable the weather can be during spring, but it can also be a stylish choice too. I would pair a hiking shell jacket with something unexpecting - like a button up and trousers. But even something simple as pictured below, works great.
As always, thank you for being here xo
