I have been pretty uninspired/unmotivated when it comes to making content lately. Spring is a weird time in fashion every year, but this year especially.
Anyways, I apologize for the subpar post today. I’ll do better next week.
Sneaker Collabs For The Fashion Boys
Marni X Hoka: For all of you that are sick of the slim silhouette sneaker, Marni teamed up with Hoka for a very unexpected but iconic sneaker collab that might just be for you. They’re chunky, they’re puffy and they’re defiantly maximalist. The shoe comes in 4 colorways each accompanied with 3 lace options. These sneakers actually dropped two weeks ago and are surprisingly still available.
END X Salomon: I am currently loving the Salomon era that we are in right now. I think the gorpe core shoe bring the perfect amount of sporty and ruggedness to a look without being too obnoxious. Salomon has so many great colorways out, but none better than the emerald make over that was given to the XT6 for their collaboration with the British retailer END clothing.
story mfg X ASICS: Defiantly my favorite collab of the moment. The little cottage core spin story mfg is giving to the gel venture 6 is everything. Like what a fun spring/summer shoe. Will be available April 18th on story mfg’s website.
Belts
I love what a good belt can do to an outfit. Here are a few I am currently obsessed with.
ChevalierNY - A little Etsy store I discovered last year. Perfect for Western style belts.
KikaNY - Classic, timeless with a contemporary twist.
Lindquist - The perfect braided belt.
L’aigon - Wide and woven, comes in so many colors.
Nude Project - Cow print is the animal print of the moment.
Our Legacy - The double belt is so sick. But all of their belts are so great.
Woburn Walk - A classic.
My Favorite Style Hack Of All Time
If you are wondering why some of your outfits just aren’t working, try and create a “through line”. More or less a through line is something (a color, pattern or texture) that connects throughout the outfit from head to toe.
For example: in the picture above, the green in the hat matches the green in the sweater which matches the green accents on the shoe - creating a line of green that just brings the outfit together.
Creating a through line is most easily done with accessories. For example: the black sunglasses, black belt, black watch and black shoe - creating a line of black making the whole look more cohesive.
Now, this isn’t an end all be all rule by any means. Not having a through line doesn’t mean it’s a bad outfit AT ALL. This just a trick if you feel like your outfit is really off and you have no idea (or time to figure out) what to do.
As always, thank you for being here and supporting me in this way xo
