Ah, just thinking about Paris brings me so much joy. It’s my favorite city in the world. I am my best and happiest self in Paris.
Anyways, before we start, I want to preface this by saying this is a guide to KEEP IT SAFE AND BLEND IN. This is purely for the guys that are stressed out about what to wear and need some guidance.
Going to break it down between day and night looks because I do feel like the vibes differ.
GENERALLY SPEAKING…
According to Ines de La Fressange, the author of The Parisian Field Guide To Men’s Style, The Parisian man’s style is defined by, “the fact that he really doesn’t look like an Italian man, a British one or an American”. Great. What does that even mean, Ms. La Fressange?!
While that answer might be vague and confusing, she makes a good point. Parisian style is defined more by what it isn’t than what it is, which is why it’s so hard to pin down and to emulate.
There is definitely intentionality in the way the Parisian man dresses, however they don’t take it so seriously.
