Here’s the thing, there is really nothing that defines the moment right now. There are no TRUE trends this season. Instead, we are just styling items we already have differently.
Maybe this comes from everyone’s fatigue of over consumption or maybe we are collectively sick of the algorithmic trend driven sameness that social media provides. Either way, the truth is - there is nothing you really NEED this season.
However, if you are looking to refresh your fall closet or even just move certain items front and center - here is what I think you should have handy.
COLORS OF THE SEASON
The stand out neutral of fall is undoubtably brown. I am currently loving a navy and brown color combo - so chic.
As I mentioned several times before, red is the color of the season (you can find my Red Edit here). However, recently, I am also LOVING a green for fall. Use it as a pop or color or even as a statement piece. I find green suede to be sooo beautiful.
SILVER JEWERY
With its understated elegance and subtle sheen, silver jewelry seems to be the jewery trend of the season. I realize most people are pretty stuck on their gold vs silver jewelry choice, but if you are willing to be more open minded - try silver this season.

SUEDE
Suede is the texture of the season. Which is not a revolutionary concept. Suede is pretty much the texture of the season every fall. I do have a few thoughts about suede, though.
If you are going to buy something suede, make it an investment piece. Faux suede or imitation suede, is not worth it!!! Learn from my experience, cheap suede has a tendency to rub off on things around you, and it’s not pretty.
Buy a suede protectant - trust me
I wouldn’t recommend wearing a suede belt with a suede jacket with suede shoes. Suede is such an interesting specific texture - you only really need one suede item in your look to make a statement. No need for competing suede moments.

CHAMBRAY SHIRT
Denim shirts make an outfit feel so inherently Western. Not that there is anything wrong with the Western trend, but I’ve found that it’s hard to make it look and feel elevated. However, a chambray shirt checks that box for me. Plus chambray is just so much more versatile.

DARK DENIM
I rarely opt for dark denim, personally or for clients, but this season I’ve had a change of heart. Dark denim just looks so much more elevated than a light wash - and I think that’s the whole point of fall dressing. Even just with a white tee and a sneaker, dark denim just looks more sophisticated than the alternative.

A CARDIGAN
Again, not a revolutionary thought but a good cardigan is essential. I am personally really into a crewneck cardigan right now vs the standard deep V cardigan.

As always, thank you for being here and supporting me in this way xo
