No Need To Reinvent The Wheel
If you haven’t seen Part 1 of this series, defiantly go check it out.
Today we discuss the ubiquitous white t-shirt and light wash jeans. Simple, comfortable, classic. However, if not done right - can be plain, lifeless and disappointing. By implementing just a few style hacks, this outfit is so easy to make new and fresh.
For all of you that wear a lot of denim, trying to think of new ways to wear the same outfit comes down to two things - the cut and the wash.
For the sake of not insulting your intelligence, I won’t waste your time by telling you to change up the wash of the denim and color of the tee - like, duh.
Trying a different cut of denim i.e high waisted, balloon or even cropped can totally change the vibe of the look.
Similarly, when it comes to your tee, switching up the cut of your tee from slim fit to boxy or cropped can also elevate and change your outfit.
Playing with proportions is a great way to create tension in your look and make it feel fresh. Pair a slimmer (notice is said slimmER not SLIM) jean with a boxy over sized t-shirt or a wide leg jean with a more fitted tee.
I would like to encourage a pop of color with your shoe choice. Whether its a sneaker, loafer, sandal or boot - a bit of color can make this simple look more exciting.
And lastly, accessories make allllll the difference. Add all of the accessories. OVER accessorize. And I don’t just mean jewelry. Add a canvas bag, hat, sunglasses etc. It’s an easy way to bring the look to life.
